Nahid Kazemi is an award-winning illustrator, author, and visual artist with 20 years of experience in publication. She has published over 70 children’s books in Canada, the US, Europe, the UK, China, and Iran. Her work is inspired by her personal life, Persian stories, classics like 1001 Nights, and Rumi’s poetry. She has received the Governor General’s Literary Award in Canada and has been nominated for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award. She combines personal and cultural themes in her stories, creating a bridge among nations.

Some of her publications include Shahrzad & the Angry King; Over the Rooftops, Under the Moon; Teddy, Let’s Go!; The Sour Cherry Tree; Zia’s Story; The Old Woman; Just Bea; and I’m Glad that You Are Happy.
