John Miller, a nature writer, is the author of three books published by Enchanted Lion, Winston and George, Red Spider Hero, and Before I Grew Up. These children's books were illustrated by Giuliano Cucco, a close friend he met while living in Rome. John Miller spent much of his grade school years with friends, tramping about the woods, lakes, rivers and swamps of Morris County, New Jersey. These adventures inspired his children's books and articles about beavers, trout, starlings and other animals for many magazines.
