Daniel Liévano

Daniel Liévano has garnered acclaim for his conceptual images, which have been featured in major publications such as The New Yorker, Harper’s Magazine, and The Economist. His work is characterized by deep explorations of varied themes, from science and literature to poetry, technology, and psychology. Liévano’s signature style—a fusion of abstract and figurative elements—invites viewers to discover the unseen aspects of the stories he illustrates. Beyond his visual artistry, Liévano’s fascination with conceptual thought has led him to engage in writing and meditating on the intricate relationships between semiotics, poetry, and art. His graphic novel Gravity and Other Substances was awarded the Gold Medal by the Society of Illustrators of New York, the prestigious Seymour Chwast MA-g Award in Zurich, and the Award of Excellence of Communication Arts Magazine. In 2022, he was honored with the top prize at the World Illustration Awards, presented by the Association of Illustrators (AOI) in the United Kingdom.
